Lime and Seaweed Margarita

A classic Margarita is made with 3 simple ingredients – tequila, orange liqueur and lime. Instead of using regular salt to coat the rim of your cocktail glass, we are bringing it up a notch by using our Rainbow Seaweed Salt.

Have this Margarita with some prawn skewers on a hot sunny day and you’ll feel like you’re at a bar by the beach!

  • Yields: 2 glasses


120mL tequila

60mL Cointreau

45mL lime juice

2 Lime slices

1 tbsp Rainbow Seaweed Salt



1Cut 2 thin slices of lime for garnishing. Squeeze the remaining lime to get 45mL of lime juice.

2Spread the Rainbow Seaweed Salt evenly on a small plate.

3Run a slice of lime around the rim of your glass.

4Dip the glass rim in salt.

5Add tequila, Cointreau, lime juice and ice into a cocktail shaker.

6Shake well then strain into 2 glasses.

7Garnish with lime wheels and serve immediately.
