Seaweed and Sesame Seared Tuna

Product used in this recipe - Alg Rainbow Seaweed Seasoning - Chickpea Miso & Crunchy Sesame 

Ingredients

1 tb Alg Seaweed Seasoning - Chickpea Miso & Crunchy Sesame
1 tsp ground white pepper
200-250g sashimi grade raw tuna
cooking oil
2 tsp Kewpie mayonnaise
1 tsp chopped spring onion

Steps

  1. On a flat plate, sprinkle Rainbow Seaweed Seasoning - Chickpea Miso & Crunchy Sesame and white pepper. Roll tuna on the plate so all surface area of the fish is covered except the two sides. This will help monitor how the fish is cooking.
  2. Heat a non-stick pan with cooking oil. Carefully sear the surface of the fish, approximately five to ten seconds on each side until the outside of the fish turns white.
  3. Transfer the fish onto a chopping board and slice using a sharp knife. Drizzle Kewpie mayonnaise and sprinkle spring onion. Serve with salad, udon, soba or rice.
