Teriyaki Beef Donburi with Rainbow Seaweed Seasoning

Professional Chefs Max & Douglas from Jimoto and Nutritionist Sarah from Alg Seaweed admire each other’s mouth watering recipes and products over Instagram. Both brands have the passion to make home cooking easier without compromising on flavour. Their products complimented each other on Japanese styled dishes and the collaboration was born.

Ingredients

240g steamed Japaense rice

100g sliced beef (preferably wagyu sirloin/chuck tail flap)

4 shiitake mushrooms, sliced

50ml Jimoto Foods Shiso Teriyaki

2tbsp Alg Seaweed Rainbow Seasoning

sliced white onions (washed)

shredded shiso leaves

Wasabi on the side

Directions

1Start by preparing the rice according to instructions. Set aside and keep warm.

2Heat a skillet or pan over medium heat and add a small amount of cooking oil.

3Once hot, add the sliced mushrooms and sauté until golden brown.

4Reduce heat to medium low and add the Shiso Teriyaki.

5Stir well to coat, and simmer for 1 more minute.

6Add the sliced beef and slowly simmer for one minute.

7To assemble, simply bowl up the rice, arrange the beef and mushrooms all over the top.

8Lay the onions on top, then sprinkle with the shiso leaves and Alg Seaweed Rainbow Seasoning.

9Serve with some wasasbi on the side.
